The role of inductor coils in power lines

What we call an inductive coil is when there is a current in the wire, a magnetic field is created. Typically, wire is wound around the coil to strengthen the magnetic field inside the coil. An induction coil is used to make a coil of wire (enameled wire, yarn wrapped or bare wire) (the wires are insulated from each other) (usually, Induction Coils have only one winding), made of an insulated tube (insulator, iron core or magnetic core).

Are hollow induction and induction Coils the same?

Usually everyone likes this general term; they are the same.


So what is a transformer?

Transformer we can easily understand, usually when the current passing through the inverter in the inductor coil, not only its own ends will produce induced voltage, but also in the nearby coils, this phenomenon is called mutual inductance. Coils that are not connected to each other but are close to each other and have electromagnetic induction between them are generally called transformers.

Is a transformer an inductor?

Transformers may not be Inductors, but inductors may be transformers; there are many types of inductors; Common Mode Inductors, SMD Chip Inductors, power inductors, wirewound inductors, adjustable inductors, color ring inductors, plug-in inductors, etc., which can be classified into multiple categories according to different properties.

Classified according to induction mode: fixed inductor, variable inductor.

According to the classification of magnetic properties: air core coils, ferrite coils, iron core coils, copper core coils.

According to the nature of operation: antenna coils, oscillating coils, choke coils, trap coils, deflection coils.

Classification by frequency of use: high frequency coils, low frequency coils.

Its structural characteristics are classified as: core coil, variable induction coil, color code induction coil, coreless wire, etc.

Inverter; is a device that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to change the AC voltage, the main components are the primary coil, secondary coil and iron core (magnetic core). Its main functions include: voltage conversion, current conversion, impedance conversion, isolation, voltage stabilization (magnetic saturation and transformer), etc. According to the use can be divided into: distribution transformers, power transformers, fully enclosed transformers, combination transformers, dry-type transformers, oil-immersed transformers, single-phase transformers, electric furnace transformers, rectifier transformers, etc.
